The View Appearance from the Northwest

Concept:
A structural designer actualized his dream of expressing steel.

1. Mainly architecture is composed with structure and finishing material.
2. Steel, which is thought as a frame work of the present civilization, should be expressed well in an architectural space.
3. At least, the house has a structure, which can change the room arrangement to adapt it to changes in lifestyle and an average life span of endurance.

To build the IRON HOUSE as a home we took advantage of the experience of ‘IRONY SPACE’ that was built as a company studio. Through the project, we have achieved the three principles as outline above.

Style:

Sandwich Panel Construction

Corten Steel Finish as a Basic Material

Features:
The IRON HOUSE shows the strength of steel. The stable rust fits in the building. In the course of time, it blends right in with nature. In view of the problem of transport and space, we designed panels by ourselves. We worked precisely in our factory and then, we build up the house by field welding in the field. We used our original method of insulation for improving performance of thermal insulation. In order to avoid a heat bridge, Urethane was used for filling up sandwich panel as an adiabatic material. For the purpose of improvement of dwelling environment, we created a rooftop gardening. We have actualized harmony of ‘Steel, Water and Green.’
